June 6th - Flight-1 Essential Canopy Skills Course

Hey everyone! Have trouble landing? A little nervous after you open? Not sure when to flare, or why you tumble in crosswind? Come to the Flight-1 Skills course. EVERY skydive we do is a canopy jump, so all it takes is a little focused attention and learning to double the fun of your jumping, AND most importantly, keep us SAFE!

Only $100 for coaching plus 5 hop-n-pop jumps. All landings are videoed and debriefed with classroom time in between. Call the office to reserve your spot, (951) 245-9939. Slots are limited, so call now! :) We start the class ready to jump at 8:30am.

Saturday, June 12th — POKER RUN 2010!!

That’s right, the trash talkin’, tequila drinkin’, and 6-way belly jumpin’ is BACK for another year of shenannigans! In the air and on the ground, the medals and money are up for grabs. This event stands the test of time and always teaches us that bribing the judge, albeit fun, never seems to work out how we like..... Unless, we like more tequila in our bellies!

The jumps are awesome, don’t forget about those— 5 jumps, one card for every jump, and then on to the poker game where the cash pot goes to the winner. Medals and glory to those who win the skydiving competition.... Which means, each team has two chances to WIN! Will this year be the year for the long-awaited return of the Elusive Double??? Same team winning both?? We shall see.............

August 6 - 8 — Summer Boneanza 2010!

ANYTHING BUT CLOTHES is BACK! That’s the theme cause this year we’re into creativity! Wet and wild will still prevail during the hot days with loads of fun summery jumping— shorts and t-shirts tracks, belly, and head down... water slidin’ in between loads... HUGE INFLATABLE WATER SLIDE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE... that frickin' thing is FUN!! (The one in the pictures is the old small one, we're getting the HUGE one!)

All the awesome Elsinore organizers on the FS and FF awesomeness, and freefly badass of the West Coast Freefly Posse, DAVID GERSHFELD will be on site all 3 days to organize mad freeflyin' for anyone who's wanting to get vertical! MELANIE CURTIS will also be organizing all 3 days, doing freefly, belly, bikini jumps, WHATEVER! :D LOU ASCIONE will be on for all you belly peeps out there too... we got everyone covered!!

Last year we did the totally fun Banana Drop, $5 per banana, drop it over the target from above 1000 feet and closest one wins the cash. Totally fun and hilarious, so we're gonna bring it back for Summer Boneanza and do a RUBBER DUCKY DROP! We're wet and wild for this boogie, so we're keeping it in the water theme, and also choosing something that's not gonna turn brown in the heat! hahaa Awesome. Stay tuned, gonna pick the day to do it very soooooooon, probably Sunday of the boogie, Aug 8............

Followed of course by the unparalleled BONEanza Anything-But-Clothes PARTY! Photo booth, cool beverages, and dancing til it’s time to sleep........ Sept 30 - Oct 3 — Skydiving Chicks Rock 2010!

The biggest, baddest, as in BEST event of Skydive Elsinore’s year is back biggest style ever this year! CHICKS ROCK 2010: A SPACE ODYSSEY!!! That’s the theme peeps, and I’m seeing a sea of SILVER!! LED lights everywhere, on all the swoopers in the Night Swoop Show.... Wild hair... Silver spikey shoulder pads.... Full-on FUTUREisitic vibe........ It’s gonna be cool, and strange, and holy sh*t fun!!!!!

For pre-boogie camps, first we have Amy Chmelecki, Sara Curtis, and Melanie Curtis back on the FF side of things leading a BIG-WAY WOMEN'S VERTICAL RECORD CAMP. This is NOT a basic skills camp. Because the women's record is less then 2 months after Chicks Rock, this camp will be solely focused on building the big-way skills-- diving, floating, docking on a group, then flying in that group once you are attached. Prepping for blasting the record in November! Yes! So, if you are not up to big-ways yet, we will have FF organizers on the DZ all day to help you guys out, so we all can be jumping side-by-side that Thursday and Friday. Awesome! Registration for this part of the event is $150 per person-- this INCLUDES EVERYTHING but jumps-- coaching, video, video fee, AND the boogie registration and goodie bag which is the $45 value. Super affordable for everything you get with this camp! YES!

For the FS/belly-flyin' peeps out there, the Spaceland Blue babes, Brianne Thompson and Annie Peterson, are back and all for you!!!! This year we'll be doing a medium-way FS skills camp for any aspiring belly badasses out there. 8-16-ways is our plan, registration for this will be $150, and like the head down camp, INCLUDES EVERYTHING but jumps-- coaching, video, video fee, AND the boogie registration and goodie bag which is the $45 value. Super affordable for everything you get with this camp too!

You heard right, we are adding a WINGSUIT SKILLS CAMP to the already incredible line-up for Chicks Rock 2010! Elsinore is all about skill-building and fun with the awesomest and best coaches in the whole sport, and this camp is no different! Led by Taya Weiss and Jeff Nebelkopf, this is a skills camp to teach intermediate wingsuit flyers the fundamentals of group flying. Exiting, approaching, diving, slot flying, all skills to prepare you to be on future wingsuit world records. Registration is only $150 like all the other camps, including coaching, coach slots, video, AND regular boogie registration, a $45 value! So effectively it’s only 100 bucks to get two full days of coaching with the best. You pay for your jumps. Happening September 30- October 1, first two days of the boogie. **First-time flyers are welcome to join this camp, Jeff will take you up for your introductory flights, you just will not be a part of the larger group until you demonstrate the skills to safely participate. You must have a minimum of 200 jumps to first fly a wingsuit or be a part of this camp.

Helicopter, Skyvan on Saturday fo sho, and all our local otters. ......... Chicks Rock has become like an organism... It’s like ALIVE.....
